Yes, I’m very late in getting around to this but as the expression says, better late and all that.
This list is without any order to it. Actually, that’s not quite true. This is likely the order I added them to the collection. Some were first released last year, some had been prevously out but were released in special editions.
The criteria? Basically 1) good movie, 2) good DVD presentation, 3) combination of the two. The movies on DVD I picked up and most liked last year:

- Searchers, The – Ultimate Collector’s Edition (1956)
You’ll notice there are 11 listed whereas normally it’s a top 10 list. Well, that’s because when I went through my list I found I had 11 on it and decided I didn’t feel inclined to drop any.

I can’t believe I don’t have “Double Indemnity” in there. Hmm … maybe because it didn’t “wow” me when I saw it and also because this was a very quickly made up list. I also neglected any reference to the Carole Lombard Collection.
