		<description>This is also nearly one of the &#039;last of the mohicans&#039; in terms of quality films done in black-and-white.  Not the last -- they extended somewhat artfilmically into the 60s and come up again every so often (see Woody Allen among others).

Great courtroom scenes.  We might mention good supporting roles for and performances by Arthur O&#039;Connell and Eve Arden, not to mention Joseph Welch as the Judge (he of the actual McCarthy hearings).</description>
