that movie speaks the language of the right brain thru music and dance ..of hobbies. the joy of living in the present moment , . In the climax the girls father tells the boys father to play the harmonica and not think too much about ' problems of life'.

such a beautiful moment.

all my life i have been more or less a left brain person,,,,,thinking from the ego. this movie touched my heart as i am facing a midlife crisis in the face.

o yes, i am shifting to a balance between right and left brain thinking. it is a revolutionary change for me and i am greatfull for the movie at this time.

I know many people love this movie. But this review reflects my response to it. It would be pretentious, or at least dishonest, for me to write about how wonderful it is when I didn't find it that way.

I watched it again last night and I had the same response. I just find it too much noise and chaos.

I cannot believe this review. The movie is fantastic! How pretentious are you reviewer person. I can't stand when someone thinks they know better than years of film critics. The movie is a delight and Jimmy Steward is so endearing. I thought Barrymore was perfectly cast also. Do not let this downer review scare anyone away from watching and enjoying this film. You will be rewarded with a good glow when you are finished.
